After trying a couple of mIRC clients back when I first started file sharing about 5 years ago and experimenting with a few I finally settled for using Excursion, most because most scripts are already built into it and it's incredibly easy to use, so if you want to try it then get it from this link.

I also use Excursion, it has been the best one i have found in the several years of IRCing i have done
